Friday Garden Update

Chili and carrots

For the past (looooong) period of time it’s been windy and rainy. I don’t mind the rain, but I mind the wind. I just planted my bean plants out into the garden, and we got a minor storm the same night – Most of the leaves on the plants are completely broken.. But everything else seem to like the temperature and the rain. Now I just need everything to grow a bit faster, so I can plant everything out into the garden.

Under two windows I've all the plants that I can't fit inside anymore.. Right next to a miniature mint forest!

But there’s nothing like a break from your exams taking a walk into the garden and saying hello to all the plants (and our porcupine, Steve!).

Basil, spring onion, chilies!

Spring onion in Danish. I'm aware that it looks like grass, but I'm quite sure that it's not!

Either sweet peas or regular peas.

Without even thinking much about it, I realised that I do quite a bit of recycling when it comes to my plants. As you can see in the photos I use tin cans from canned foods, milk cartons and egg trays. I had a tiny happy moment when I realised. The windows in the photos are old windows from when the building across the street got their windows changed.

Mixed lettuce (that tastes delish!)

Spinach!

Our new terrace with wicker fences - we did everything on our own!

On the last few photos you can see the latest update of the garden; A while back I wrote about our work day in the garden, and this is the result. Before-shots here and here and here.
