Monday Go see TANK

Photobucket

This weekend we’ve had S’ cousin for a visit – She lives in Copenhagen – we visit her whenever we can, we love her and her place – and it was the first time she’s come here, so it was bound to be a great weekend – and it was! On Saturday we walked downtown, as there was a few things going on around town. We spent most of our time in Mejlegade where the annual street party was happening, with concerts and whatnot.

On Mejlegade I visited the shop TANK – A newly opened artshop, full of artbooks and artwork by young and upcoming artists from both Denmark and outside of Denmark. I’d been wanting to go for a few days, but my exam had of course stopped me. But it was so worth it. All the works fit together somehow, and it’s an interesting mixture of photography, graphics, design, collages, and the prices are very reasonable – even for a student!

I highly recommend you to go check it out, if you’re in Aarhus – you can even get your coffee-fix there! I know I’ll be going back!

Sunday oh Sunday

Photobucket
Most of the time I’m too busy with (boring) chores to actually enjoy the weekends.. Or so it has been since the beginning of this year. But this one has been filled with surprises, good company and coziness – and we even got some of the important things done too. Friday I went shopping and found great stuff (photo coming up maybe?), then joined S & K’s P (haha looks a bit algebra-y) for beers and later pizza. Saturday S got us a nice breakfast that gave us energy for the weekly cleaning that had to be done.. 50kgs of laundry, hoards of dust bunnies and around 75 breaks, I had to study. At night we finally got to watch Inception (omg! loved it) while I was knitting (with extremely sweaty hands – yarn and overly stressing plot in movie is not a good combo, just fyi).

This morning it’s dangerously dark outside, I have to study, go downtown, and later N&N are coming <3 Good weekend indeed!

Tuesday Coffee-issues

I’ve run out of coffee. (And inspiration for this blog)

I have no coffee which is now resulting in groggy me being very confused and sleepy. I’d have to go to the store to get it. With my ‘I-haven’t-had-my-coffee-yet’ face. And the person at the till will go ‘Wow, someone didn’t have their coffee yet’.

And I’ll just stand there with my red eyes, pale make-up-less face and sigh. And go home, where the coffee probably won’t be as good as I had hoped. (They probably don’t even have plain coffee beans..)

Thursday Shambles

Somehow yesterday ended up in stress and realisation. From all sides work keeps coming in – which is great! I like being busy and getting work, but right now everything seems to overlap eachother, and then I loose my overview and then I get stressed.

Today is the deadline for applying for courses for next year. I thought I had a pretty good idea about what I wanted, but for some reason I had to wait until the last minute – and then of course I found out that the application is more work than I thought. On top of that we have nearly 200 pages to read for tomorrow (as if), two papers to write on and some work on the side. Then I loose my grip. And to top it all off with! I didn’t have my morning coffee yesterday (was out, disaster) and it litterally screwed up my entire day, not kidding.
Therefore this mornings photos are focusing on what I dearly appreciate this morning; the beautiful sunlight and my COFFEE.

Monday Morning

Photobucket
I’ve slept so much this weekend, I’m not sure what’s up with me. And I couldn’t get out of bed this morning. On mondays (ironically) I usually don’t have a problem getting up semi-early to get a good start on the week, but I snoozed for an hour! (I never snooze!)

To get things up and running I made very strong coffee – I’m drinking that while listening to personalised radio.
I can’t remember if I have recommended it before – I will do it (again?) none the less.
Since I lost my mp3-collection I’ve been using last.fm a lot. For those who doesn’t know it – Last.fm is (in their own words) “a music service that lets you discover new music you like, based on the music you already listen to.” You simply download the program, and every time you play music it keeps a record – the more you listen to, the more it knows about your taste in music, and then lets you listen to personlised radio (with artists you know and love) or a radio station with recommendations specifically for you. You can also just type in an artist, and the radio will make radio station with that artist only and music in the same genre.

It works so well for me, especially when I want to get to know new music. I love it!
