Friendship

The best thing is when you’re favourite friends show their love and support for no special reason, but it turns out it was just the right time.
And two who love each other,
can heal even the most vicious wounds
just by looking at each other
and smoothing each others’ hair.”

Tuesday Walking in the sun

The exam-period hasn’t even begun, and yet I’m too preoccupied to focus on my blog. But finally the spring sun and heat came to Denmark, and it’s loveeelyyy! Earlier today I spent a few hours with P and baby E in the sun in the garden, with strawberries, juice and cakes from the bakery. Gorgeous. Because of Easters I’m leaving tomorrow with S, to go home to see my parents, and later visit K & P in the country further down south. So I’m still busy, but hopefully I’ll be able to pop in once in a while. Hope you’re enjoying the sun too!
Tuesday All the good things
A few photos from yesterday, when I spent the day with P and baby E, and of the few things I bought when we went to a second hand store. It’s been nice and windy and we’ve been doing all kinds of stuff the last coupla days.

Cute baby E getting bigger and bigger.

A cute pot and a beautiful blue glass bowl that I got for no money at all – Now the window sill is filled with blue glass ware, so pretty.

And lastly, a new, old picture frame for my collection.
Spring!
Monday Best Friends
This friday I had made plans with T & P for the night. The date called for red wine and dinner, nothing fancy.
Sipping the first glass of red wine T had to “get his phone out of P’s bag”, but found a white envelope instead: “Oh P, what on earth is this? It says “Kira” on it, what could it be” (read with theatrical, ironic voice). Instantly, true to tradition, I go bright red and open the envelope. Inside I find 2 really ridiculous (sorry but they are!:)) photos of the two of them, 3 cinema tickets for Iñárritus Biutiful, and a menu for a cafe. My (early) birthday present! So I spent the night in the best company.
The film was incredibly sad, strong, moving and biutiful. The food at the cafe (Rohdes on Trøjborg) (crepe with smoked salmon with a big salad and a huge beer) was delicious, even though the staff was a bit lost.
I love these two to bits. It was the best present.

For the Danes only: Jeg besluttede mig også lige for at vise den tegning T lavede til mig. Den er fantastisk!

Tuesday Tomorrow!

Tomorrow all hell breaks loose! She’s coming!
For wine, for fun, for shopping, for chilling, for food, for knitting, for cutting, for pasting, for music and dancing, and for just being the two of us. <3
Monday All over again
It’s been amazing to have a weekend – away from it all. Friday night I spent with P & T having spaghetti and red wine, talking about everything and nothing. Great night. Saturday we slept in (I haven’t done that in months!) until I realised we had to go to the DIY retailer to get some different practical stuff for the flat (light bulbs, laundry basket and something I have no idea how to translate). We of course bought everything else but what we went there for - Laundry basket and the Thingie was switched out with for example a new duvet for S – He hasn’t been outta bed since! – new towels, a lamp and other fiddly-bits. Sat night was great – K & Ps moving in party (they moved in months ago). Was great fun. So was the sleeping in we did on Sunday. We spent the whole day doing nothing but watching Harry Potter (yes, warming up for the premiere in Denmark this weekend!), eating candy, watching HIMYM, eating asian take away, and watching more HIMYM..
But sadly this had to happen at some stage. Nobody wanted it to happen, but it did, and eventually always does. The weekend ended.. Now comes two extremely busy weeks before I can enjoy the company of Nadi.
I just organised the next two weeks into a schedule, and I’m already tired.
Photo is from the last time I visited Nadia, summer of 2009.
Thursday All my memories
In midst of not-doing-my-BA I remembered all the photo frames I had lying in boxes, packed away. For the last many years I have been collecting all kinds of frames – mostly antique ones, because they’re so pretty. While S and I have lived together I’ve never really found space, time or approval from landlords to hang any up, but all of a sudden I thought – why not now? So I spent some time laying them out, cleaning them, trying to find photos. I got annoyed during the project because none of the frames seem to be in a proper size, and half of them can’t be hung on a wall.
I still need to find photos, family and friends of both me and S, but all in good time. Oh, and of course they have to be put up.

On these photos you can spot me as a very young child in our old garden with my dad and my sister, my mum and I, S and I, my sister and her husband, P, my dad as a boy, my sister in her wedding gown, erotic postcards, different family pictures and randoms.. Uh and even a photograph by Nadia!
Now I’m sitting between piles of mess because I couldn’t be arsed tidying what I’ve messed around with. Can’t wait to hang all these and find more photos for the rest of the frames.
Wednesday Small things
I like all the small things. The small things that somehow brighten up your day. Unexpected, well-composed, or just something that puts a smile on my face.
An unexpected envelope in my mailbox, with the cutest little ear cuff from Nadia. <3 (And cheap finds at the flea market – like this ring)

Knowing that I always have the ingredients for a home-made pesto in the kitchen. There’s nothing like a sandwich or plain bread with a freshly made pesto.

Making a herb salt for my sister’s birthday. Honest herbs and sea salt in the cutest little glass bottle.
Sunday New Born Love

The night between Friday and Saturday P gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Boyfriend and I went to see him last night, even hold him. Beautiful little baby.
Wednesday Home again

My several weeks of being away can be explained with moving mess and no internet. I miss all my doings on the internet (and all the chores that follow on the internet as well). We’ve now moved into the new place, and apart from our lack of bed and workspace we’re basically in place. The flat is gorgeous. We’re still absolutely in love with it, and we feel like it’s our home already. I’m happy that we’ve finally found a place that we can call home for some years, and the homey feeling and comfort of having your own place is invaluable.
Last weekend I had an assignment for some of my friend who were getting married. Our aquaintance go back from good times and a circle of friends that I don’t see so much anymore. So being at their wedding was a great experience. The ceremony was beautiful (very hard to take photographs while tearing up, thank you very much) and meeting old friends is always a joy. It was a gorgeous, sunny day in the country.. And I’m spending time today on the photos that need to be sent to them later this week. Lovely people.
Last night I got to see P for the first time in months! Her baby bump is huge and she looks absolutely stunning. Fab night of P, L, T and Boyfriend and myself, candles, roast chicken, stories, laughing. That’s exactly what life should be all about. Love them to bits.
