Oh happy day

Photobucket
This morning when I woke up from my deadly, heavy sleep I actually thought it would be one of those dreadful days, where it’s impossible to wake up and you never get any of those thousands of things needed to be done. But to my surprise the sun is shining leaving me hopeful and happy (having the day off university probably didn’t hurt either). So apart from doing my homework (later, later) I’ve time to enjoy the silence of the sunshine, my home-grown chilies and the beautiful flowers from my significant other.

Friendship

The best thing is when you’re favourite friends show their love and support for no special reason, but it turns out it was just the right time.

And two who love  each other,

can heal even the most vicious wounds

just by looking at each other

and smoothing each others’ hair.”

Monday Best Friends

This friday I had made plans with T & P for the night. The date called for red wine and dinner, nothing fancy.

Sipping the first glass of red wine T had to “get his phone out of P’s bag”, but found a white envelope instead: “Oh P, what on earth is this? It says “Kira” on it, what could it be” (read with theatrical, ironic voice). Instantly, true to tradition, I go bright red and open the envelope. Inside I find 2 really ridiculous (sorry but they are!:)) photos of the two of them, 3 cinema tickets for Iñárritus Biutiful, and a menu for a cafe. My (early) birthday present! So I spent the night in the best company.

The film was incredibly sad, strong, moving and biutiful. The food at the cafe (Rohdes on Trøjborg) (crepe with smoked salmon with a big salad and a huge beer) was delicious, even though the staff was a bit lost.

I love these two to bits. It was the best present.

For the Danes only: Jeg besluttede mig også lige for at vise den tegning T lavede til mig. Den er fantastisk!

Monday Loving it!

Photobucket
I know it’s on every single (Danish) blog, but whatevs. There’s still snow everywhere, even though it hadn’t snowed for days. Yesterday though, it snowed the entire day, and everything from branches and leaves on the trees to roof windows were covered. So I took a BA-break and went for a walk in the forest near by with S (and my camera). My image of a winter wonderland!

Even though I don’t want to think about it, we’re on the last week of the BA and I’m spending all days at the library trying to catch up. I’ve started getting stressful dreams every morning just before I wake up and my headaches from this semester are back.

I can’t wait until I’m done, and I put my life back on PLAY.

Friday Love & Weekends

I thought I’d just pop in and update you on how our wednesday turned out, having an anniversary and all.

I actually thought he’d forgotten. (I at least had) He told me to stay at home after my lecture to wait for a package from his mum that was arriving between 2-5pm. So I did. And the doorbell rang – I jump downstairs (Yes, in our house you have to go downstairs to unlock the door, not very handy) and find a smiling girl with her arms filled with roses and things. I instinctively thought she’d rung the wrong doorbell.. Turns out! Everything was for me! 3 big red roses, a tiny and cute bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates. And of course the cutest (ever most tear evoking) card to go with it all. He really knows what he’s doing. At night we went to the café at the end of our street for dinner. Food was delicious!

After that I unfortunately had to go home and study hard for the next day (found out by accident that my study group and I were supposed to do a presentation for the following day, but none of us knew). A rather sad ending to our date.

But at least I have him here with me every day! Ástin mín. But just to show you how cute and thoughtful he was…

Since then I’ve been pretty busy with university, studying, working out. But! Now it’s finally weekend and I’m gonna enjoy it to its full extent.

Monday When the rain falls..

Photobucket
I spent my weekend in Copenhagen celebrating the cutest little baby, sharing special moments with special people, drowning in rain and having conversations in the dark. Saturday we were celebrating Nicoline’s baby boys name. We were out for a walk in Dyrehaven, in Copenhagen, and when the rain was splashing down all of a sudden, we sought shelter underneath a big beech. After enjoying the cake and coffee we’d brought, Nicoline held a very special speech for her son. Sitting underneath the huge tree, all dry, with the rain pouring outside was a very special experience, and it’s something that will never be forgotten. Even if I’d taken any photographs I’d never have been able to capture the atmosphere and the emotional buzz there was underneath that tree, but I tried to draw it. It’s probably not quite done, but you get the idea.

Today we’re getting further with the flat – We’re getting a new bed (don’t underestimate sleeping on an ait mattress for 3-4 weeks!) and a new desk for me, since the old one (technically a dining table, and an ugly one at that) was too big for the bedroom. Uh, and we get proper internet today as well. So everything seems to be falling into place, finally.

Monday I realised, it was summer

Fab photos by VALERIA LAZAREVA

Yes, I actually jut realised. It’s summer. It’s summer, and we’re moving in less than a month!
Tidying all my scrapbook saving, news paper cut outs, magazine pages, postcards… I disappeared into a world of beautiful photos and atmosphere. I want to go to a summer house for a week. By the beach, yes.
