Oh happy day

Photobucket
This morning when I woke up from my deadly, heavy sleep I actually thought it would be one of those dreadful days, where it’s impossible to wake up and you never get any of those thousands of things needed to be done. But to my surprise the sun is shining leaving me hopeful and happy (having the day off university probably didn’t hurt either). So apart from doing my homework (later, later) I’ve time to enjoy the silence of the sunshine, my home-grown chilies and the beautiful flowers from my significant other.

Tuesday Exercise!

Every morning I get a few emails from the Danish newspaper Politiken’s website. This morning it included a few tips on how to get rid of body tensions if you sit by your computer and work a lot. So far so good. On top of that it included stills of the videos of the trainer showing you how to perform these exercises. And they’re hilarious. Enjoy!

For Danish readers who want to try out these exercises, click the images and you’ll be refered to the website.

Thank you to Politiken for making my grey day a bit brighter ;)

Tuesday Good Life

Photobucket

Whoop! I’m back from a short visit at home (for my mum’s birthday) and a trip to Berlin with Uni – Had the best time. And coming back to Denmark in springtime (it’s been sunshine since I got home) it couldn’t be any better! I’ve an easy week at uni, so I’m trying to get some stuff done that I usually don’t have time nor energy to do, such as replanting my plants (woo..hoo?), cleaning computers, looking for specific litterature, making (creative) plans and so forth.

I might have one or two posts with updates from Berlin, but otherwise we’re back to normal.

Enjoy spring, people!

Ps. There’s nothing like waking in the morning with sunshine breaking through the tanned curtains, and your mind bursting with plans and ideas, and then taking your time to make a really nice breakfast, just for you. <3

Tuesday This morning..

Photobucket

It’s yet another morning beautified by the beaming autumn-sun. It’s amazing – Especially since my desk is turned towards the garden, and during the day the sun lights up this side of the house.

As I was hit by a sudden urge to sleep yesterday (taking a break after my lecture with Skins and knitting) I got close to nothing done. Merely bits and pieces, but it’s okay. I still feel at easy – which is something new this fall!

Today I plan to enjoy the sun, finish up on some reading (library books that need to be returned) and see the doctor about my headaches. Seems manageable, no?

Photos: 1) The sunlight in the windowsill by my desk, 2) As I promised Nadia, a photo of the scarf that I’m knitting, 3) tiny chillies on the plant I got from my mum a while back, 4) The small bronze leaf  for my rings by the kitchen sink…

Tuesday Way too early

It seems like I either wake up when Boyfriend “get’s up” (5:30) or I sleep through any and everything until my alarm goes off. Which it should be doing in an hour or so. I’ve been up the last hour, drinking coffee, watching the world outside my window wake up and get lit up.

Monday A fresh start

When I woke up this morning the windows were filled with dew and tiny droplets of gorgeousness. The sunlight is absolutely gorgeous on this side of the flat in the morning, and today was no exception.

But for once I didn’t have to wake up by sunlight prickling on my eyelids – We finally got curtains up in the bedroom. We got the curtains from home, and the light they give – warm, soft goldenness – makes me feel like I’m home. For once.

I have to keep myself busy this week. I have so much to do, and a lot of it takes a lot of time. Finding a subject for my BA is of course first priority, as I have to hand in my choice in a week. (oh fright!)

Monday In Limbo

It’s the final week of countdown – On saturday we’re moving into the new place early in the morning, and then it’s as good as over. We’re basically done with everything but the kitchen, we just need to approve the appartment, get the keys and go home for my dad’s birthday.

Even though it’s been nice to have a lot of time to pack (compared to the other times, especially last time..), it’s been too much time. Living around boxes (all our stuff is packed except from TV) and not having anything to do except from packing, is disgusting. But on a more positive note; yesterday we finally got rid of our old bed (which has really cranked up my allergies..) and some other stuff. Unknown amount of time sleeping on an air mattress, here we come!

Wish I could have a beautiful, serene Monday  morning like this one.
