Tuesday Fashionable girls are better than us

On the same rainy day that we went to TANK, we as well walked around downtown, especially on Mejlegade where the street party was cracking. Cousin B wanted to see a band that she’d seen once before and really enjoyed; The Echo Vamper, a Danish band from Aarhus. And I loved every last bit of it! You can listen to their music on the facebook page, and I would if I were you ;)

Tuesday: A Month of Unrequited Love

As other Danish reader might do, I follow Camille on Clamour for Glamour religiously (okay, everybody as religiously as I do, but I love her blog ;)). Recently she recommended a new music project by the Danish musician, Michael Møller (he’s the voice of Moi Caprice, if you know them).

This May he’s doing a project called “A Month of Unrequited Love”, where he’ll be releasing a new song every day for 31 days. And so far I can only recommend it; the songs are heartfelt and absolutely beautiful and inspiring.

On the day a song is released, you’re able to download it for free from the website, but after a few days, you’re only able to listen to it.

We’re on the 3rd song, so get going!

Tuesday is music to my ears

.. in more ways than one. I’ve been pretty busy all weekend, and today I finally had space to breathe! N&N visited sunday night and left again last night. It was so good to see both of them (and for the first time ever seeing Mama N as a brunette – gorgeous of course, sadly didn’t get to snap a photo of her) and I taught Baby N a new word; “Wau!” :D Good times.

This morning I’ve basically just tried to enjoy a slow morning with buckets of coffee, baking bread, browsing (avoiding studying, ahem). I don’t think I can push the studying any longer though – I have to prepare for thursday.

On friday I got a nice surprise, though. A while back I was in a competition for some make-up on ILOVEBEAUTY.dk, and turns out – I won! But the surprise was really that the prize arrived on friday, so I could finally check it out..

What I received was a Volume Million Lashes mascara (which I already can’t live without), Infallible Brush Foundation (which is sadly the wrong colour for my skin…) and Infallible Color Eyeshadows (no. 009 & 006 – they’re gorgeous). It was a perfect wee surprise for a grey friday.

For my birthday I’d wished for Fallulah’s Black Cat Neighbourhood and winded up with two (new release & old release), so on friday (on my shopping-spree, ahem) I took the old one back and found some other cd’s; Suspekt Prima Nocte & Trolle//Siebenhaar Couple Therapy. I’ve loved Prima Nocte since I first heard it, and I know there are great tracks on Couple Therapy, so I’m happy.

When I was shooting the cd’s I realised that I’ve actually gotten quite a lot of cd’s lately (since Christmas)…

Apart from the three cd’s mentioned above I’ve gotten; Nocturne (Mixed classical music for relaxing at night), Florence + The Machine – Lungs, Groove Armada – Vertigo, Thom Yorke – The Eraser, The Last Shadow Puppets – The Age of Understatement. All of which I love, and all of which I can recommend. And yes – I do still buy cd’s, mp3′s are not always enough.

Anyway, now I have to move on to the above. Studying for Global Cultures and Media, woohoo.

Saturday Grey Zone

Photos from House Doctor

I’m allowed to dream, right? Yes, still working on and whining about the Project from Hell (which will soon be over, life here I come). I took a 2-day-break thursdag-friday, and went to Ks to watch the finale of paradise hotel (which basically ended up in a lot of wine and reminiscing over old music like HIM, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Kittie etc. We both love all these bands, but at least I forget to listen to them). I was completely wrecked yesterday, played Sims (really need a new version of that) most of the day, slept on the couch the rest. But today it’s back to work. My only motivation is that I’m going to be done soon… SIGH.

Tuesday She shows her Face

And she shows her face. 22 hours ago iamamiwhoami posted a new video to youtube. The videos are becoming more and more like music videos, and actually this video re-awakens my fascination with her.
It seems finally clear. The artist appears to be Jonna Lee (like I’ve mentioned earlier). There’s almost no doubt about it, but after all of the different (and wrong) guesses so many people have made, I’m reluctant to say I’m sure.

A new thing is that you can buy and download the newest track ‘o’ – here. (Possibly on itunes as well, go check if you’re interested)
What do you think? Jonna Lee?

Monday Morning

I’ve slept so much this weekend, I’m not sure what’s up with me. And I couldn’t get out of bed this morning. On mondays (ironically) I usually don’t have a problem getting up semi-early to get a good start on the week, but I snoozed for an hour! (I never snooze!)

To get things up and running I made very strong coffee – I’m drinking that while listening to personalised radio.
I can’t remember if I have recommended it before – I will do it (again?) none the less.
Since I lost my mp3-collection I’ve been using last.fm a lot. For those who doesn’t know it – Last.fm is (in their own words) “a music service that lets you discover new music you like, based on the music you already listen to.” You simply download the program, and every time you play music it keeps a record – the more you listen to, the more it knows about your taste in music, and then lets you listen to personlised radio (with artists you know and love) or a radio station with recommendations specifically for you. You can also just type in an artist, and the radio will make radio station with that artist only and music in the same genre.

It works so well for me, especially when I want to get to know new music. I love it!

Tuesday WHO are you?

New vid out! iamamiwhoami came out with a new video yesterday, now longer than ever.

I read a blog post that almost convinced me who iamamiwhoami really is. It’s in Danish, but go google translate if you need to. It now seems very likely that the artist in the video could be Jonna Lee. The looks fit, as well with the other group members, the music on the other hand seems a bit off.. Or maybe not.
I’m not as intrigued as I was before. The new video and the new music doesn’t captivate me as the other vids have..
