Thursday All my memories
In midst of not-doing-my-BA I remembered all the photo frames I had lying in boxes, packed away. For the last many years I have been collecting all kinds of frames – mostly antique ones, because they’re so pretty. While S and I have lived together I’ve never really found space, time or approval from landlords to hang any up, but all of a sudden I thought – why not now? So I spent some time laying them out, cleaning them, trying to find photos. I got annoyed during the project because none of the frames seem to be in a proper size, and half of them can’t be hung on a wall.
I still need to find photos, family and friends of both me and S, but all in good time. Oh, and of course they have to be put up.

On these photos you can spot me as a very young child in our old garden with my dad and my sister, my mum and I, S and I, my sister and her husband, P, my dad as a boy, my sister in her wedding gown, erotic postcards, different family pictures and randoms.. Uh and even a photograph by Nadia!
Now I’m sitting between piles of mess because I couldn’t be arsed tidying what I’ve messed around with. Can’t wait to hang all these and find more photos for the rest of the frames.
Tuesday This morning..

It’s yet another morning beautified by the beaming autumn-sun. It’s amazing – Especially since my desk is turned towards the garden, and during the day the sun lights up this side of the house.
As I was hit by a sudden urge to sleep yesterday (taking a break after my lecture with Skins and knitting) I got close to nothing done. Merely bits and pieces, but it’s okay. I still feel at easy – which is something new this fall!
Today I plan to enjoy the sun, finish up on some reading (library books that need to be returned) and see the doctor about my headaches. Seems manageable, no?
Photos: 1) The sunlight in the windowsill by my desk, 2) As I promised Nadia, a photo of the scarf that I’m knitting, 3) tiny chillies on the plant I got from my mum a while back, 4) The small bronze leaf for my rings by the kitchen sink…
Monday Now we begin
I actually ended up having a nice day yesterday. Took a long shower, had breakfast with Him, then studied and cooked a gorgeous meal (some kind of stew reminiscent of the one I had on our last date with beef, chorizo, grilled peppers and mash, yum). Today I am choosing to ignore the level of my stress and pressure felt, and try to get the best out of the week. This is also the week of cocktail tasting in the local wine store, openings of new stores downtown and possibly a friendly dinner at the end of the week. Can’t be all that bad.

This amazing photos are by Tamara Lichtenstein, her work is amazing.
Thursday Come fall
By now you can actually smell the autumn in the air. I guess I got caught in waiting for summer, because it came very unexpected. It’s as well been quite a while since I’ve been home to visit my parents. And I miss them and it. I love being at my parents’ house in the summer. It’s magical.
ps. And yes, we watched English crime shows on the balcony this summer! Summer heat, crime shows and white whine, nothing compares!
Tuesday
Saturday Traces
Last night I went to a bbq with some girls. Roof tops, wine, smoke, fun, music. Was a great night.
Saturday morning I was woken up by Boyfriend with pancakes, chocolate milk and cold coke, and then stayed in bed forever. Love days like these. Been home alone since and enjoying being free to do whatever.
Finally a few photos from Berlin. Fascinating traces of the past.

First two photos show the that you can see everywhere in Berlin. Here on Martin-Gropius-Bau where we went to see the big Olafur Eliasson exhibit (recommendable btw)
The two next photos show the ‘Stolpersteine’ that is found on the streets of Berlin as well. If you read German you can read about them here. The function of these stones is small memorials for victims of Nazism. It states the name, date of birth, year of deportation and that they were murdered.
Wednesday And it rained for days..

Photos by the always amazing Nirrimi
It just doesn’t stop raining.. There was a pause last night, where the evening sun flooded my livingroom. Today is wet, dark green and gloomy.
I’ve arrived to the point where I have to start studying for my oral exam (same thing as the written one) – something I wouldn’t mind postponing as much as possible. But of course I know that the more I postpone it, the more there will be to do later. Sigh. And because of this, I’m rendered paralysed. So much to do, and so much I want to do, but I’m totally stuck within myself.
I’m crocheting a blanket, but I desperately need yarn. And a buddy to stroll downtown with.
Tuesday In Love!
Thursday Morning Light

Another day in the exam hell. Tonight I’m taking a break, though. Going over to Ks for the Paradise finale (sh).
Friday My Garden, look.

This is my herb garden. (at least the home grown part – I as well have pots of mint, rosemary, thyme and maybe sage (if it didn’t die on me)).
1. The beautifully, flowy dill 2. My basil, the fragrant lil’ bastards 3. The cute n crumbly parsley 4. And simply the afternoon light.
