Wednesday Etsy Obsession!
Indirectly I’ve mentioned a lot of my obsessions (that the title of this blog refers to, of course) – growing my own herbs, cooking, baking, DIY’ing and so forth.
But what I haven’t written a lot about is my obsession with Etsy.
Hi, my name is Kira and I’m insanely obsessed with shopping on Etsy. Not artwork or useful things, but craft materials and jewellery and knick-knack.
But there’s so many pretty things! And I can’t help it! (which totally makes it more okay – I know I have a problem, and I know there’s nothing to do about it, oops!)
Anyway, silliness aside. I was browsing the inspiring rows of gorgeousness when I came across andrea0503′s shop Mirta Jewellery. Her aim, as she describes it is to produce contemporary but atemporal jewelry. And I believe she does just that. Amazing.
I’m flabbergasted. And I want it all. Every last piece. And I’m sure I’m gonna buy something, I’m just not sure what – yet!
If you want to look closer on each piece, you can click the images and it’ll refer you to the specific site on etsy.

Monday Heavy Rain

It sucks when you’ve plans to go downtown (to find that tee) and it rains so much that it actually scares you a tiny bit…
I’m back in Aarhus after what felt like a very long (but cosy) drive home with nausea poking my conscience.
We both had such a great weekend, but it was way too short. Now awaits me a busy week of all the usual and a bit more.
Hopefully I’ll be back later with something more exciting.
Tuesday Fifty Dollar Vintage
In midst of my exam anxiety (yes, it has begun) I received a fun email from Kalla at Fifty Dollar Vintage. She offered myself and my readers (you) a 15% discount with coupon code BYKIRABO. On Fifty Dollar Vintage they sell vintage pieces (dresses, accessories) for 50$ a piece – which I think is great! They’ve new unique items every day. So go check it out. Enjoy :)
Tuesday Night & Gloomy
I ended up choosing the shopping and summer side of things today. I went downtown, searched high and wide for Marina & The Diamonds – Family Jewels (and not finding it anywhere), found a sweat shirt I really wanted, sunglasses and a few dvds (one of which I’m watching, as we ‘speak’) and a bunch of multi-coloured candles. Boyfriend has fallen asleep on the couch, and I’m scaring myself shitless by watching the Happening. I love that movie, it’s so disturbing. The movie itself is maybe not great, but the plot I love. And of course M. Night Shyamalan is behind it, which is always fun.
Tomorrow is all about classes and a fun project.
Tuesday Wishes

Yesterdays trip with K was lovely. We drove around to ikea, furniture stores.. I didn’t get half of the stuff that I actually needed but a few fun and nice things instead; like two cups with seeds for basil and coriander in, a ton of candleholder, a beautiful photograph for no money at all, and some golden bowls. As the day progressed more and more sunshine came and lit up the grey greyness of Aarhus and we topped the day with a cuppa tea.
My head is heavy like a mountain lion and roaring just as bad. I think I have a cold coming up, and it’s not exactly motivating.

Tuesday Updates

Finally the horrid job of buying a dress is over! I’m no good with dresses, and I’m horribly picky, so it’s not a fun job for me to do. After panic and hysteria from morning to late afternoon with K we finally found dress, incredibly high heels, and finally finished off the job with tired, red eyes and sore legs. Some experience! It probably didn’t help that we completely forgot to eat all day…
This weekend the other bridesmaids and I had big plans for P’s bachelorette party – obviously I couldn’t talk about it here, so it’s been difficult to blog lately! The day was extremely fun. We laughed so hard (and cried) and now we’re all set for the wedding on saturday. We made P sing in the middle of the main shopping street, dance, make a human pyramid and other crazy stuff. We ended up where her husband to be proposed to her, on a hill with a view over the water and the city (where we are on the photo) and we all proposed to her with tiny flowery rings. Beautiful day.
